this website began as a way for me to organize, access, and visualize my personal collections. over time, it's grown into both a personal and professional portfolio. along the way, building this site has allowed me to play + experiment with design of all kinds.
the site is built from the ground up by me with coding guidance from gpt-4.1 & claude-4-sonnet. all code is open source and available on GitHub. all mistakes are my own; any feedback is welcome.
i hope you discover something unexpected & perhaps serendipitous here, as i've done so many times along the way.
headers are set in Schibsted Grotesk, interface text in Montserrat, monospace text in Inconsolata, & selected serif text in Playfair. all are erved by Google Fonts. lowercase (mostly) everything because i like the vibe.
brand icons were Font Awesome and all others from Material Design, both via Iconify.
the color palette was developed using OKLCH tokens and rendered to sRGB at runtime, with some help from the tints.dev palette generator:

this site is built with Astro, React, & TypeScript, styled with Tailwind CSS, and deployed on Vercel.
all content is written + curated in Obsidian, then synchronized + processed with Astro content collections for publishing here.
carbon emissions per view are estimated via Website Carbon. site-wide search is powered by Pagefind.
